I am taking the princesses on vacation to the Orlando area. Would I be able to sail more on the adjacent eastern or western portions of Florida? And which areas of these should I focus on?

I will be renting equipment, with a rental car, so I'm not sure if the Calmus place will be best for sailing. Access to gear and launch is important, might rent a beachfront place or a soundfront place, ideally I'd like to be able to sail without any driving. Also what conditions should I expect, sail size?

On any road trip, I keep one hand, one ear*, and one eye on the forecasts and current wind data, the other hand and eye on a map, the other hand on the steering wheel, the other eye on the road, and the other eye on trees and flags. I'd miss a TON of WSing if I waited for someone to dump it into my lap.
* Fortunately, I HAVE only one ear, so I don't have to listen to my princess whine about all the driving.
I'd do all that from centrally located Orlando, driving east or west depending on the data and forecasts.

Probably mentioned already, but Calema has a ton of high-end rental gear and is about 45 minutes from Orlando. Very easy to find, great service and a nice place to sail. As John I. said, Cocoa Beach can have killer wave sailing.
