Yvan ... I highly recommend that you buy a box of 50 galvanized steel roofing bolts, nuts, and big washers. You should find them very useful.

Rear straps of your seat harness pulling away from the stitching no problem. Heat a metal rod to cherry red over the gas (pushrod end from a 350 army Royal Enfield correct size - loads of them laying about in the desert I expect) burn through harness and strap, push bolt through with big washers each side, threads pointing outwards, and bolt up. (Sawing off end of protruding threads optional) Will rust solid in a week and remain permanent fixture.

Ditto those adjustable head-caps on sail tops, which always slip in use. Set once, burn through strap and insert bolt, never slip ever again.

Even snapped boom arms will not be beyond repair. Insert a length of copper water pipe (taped to prevent wobbly fit) drill and bolt up, and off you go happily into the sunset! The electrolytic reaction of copper and alloy in salt water will, apart from warming your hands, light a small helmet light to warn others of your approach. (So they may take appropriate avoiding action!! Laughing )

Footstraps: nail some gym socks to the deck, as Bic was accused of doing in a prepublication draft of a magazine board test review.
