Douglass,
I see you're in Bonita Springs. I've had some pretty good days a Wiggins Pass.

Wow! Incredible photos and conditions. What was the wind direction? How often do
winds of this magnitude occur there?

The wind speed was unusual but in the fall and early spring we can get quite a bit of nice DTL conditions there if it blows west for a long period of time. Anything over 20 knots will create great conditions but not as big as that day. That day was definitely special. I actually went to sail for the first part of the day on a nearby smaller lake since the windsurfing elite there were having a hard time in the gusts. On the small lake I (200 lbs) was on a 3.7M / 81L and with that amount of wind I was able to get some aerial off the lips action on knee to waste high waves. I had a blast at the location in the pictures later on once the gusts got less intense.

Sailors come from Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Maine, upstate NY to enjoy the fun there. On Friday the vibe there was amazing. Lots of fun!
