This is why the wind drops when too many windsurfers are on the water...we're just using it up too fast. Next time you go out for a sesh, please wait 'til someone comes in. |

I have a slightly different perspective. The next time I'm out on the water kindly stay off, until I come in, so as to preserve wind. Feel free to hit
the water for the 30 minutes while I eat lunch, but be conservation minded
and get off again when I return. Our planet thanks you!

You guys should know by know that the wind is controlled by Satan. That explains the taunting cloud formation. It also explains the wind shutting down the minute your board touches the water, that gust when you're jibing in front of those girls, or the eerie calm that descends whenever you buy a new board, sometimes for weeks. Inversely, it explains it ramping up to 30 for no reason when all you brought is your 8.2 racing sail, in violation of windsurfing rule #3, to wit:
"Rule #3: ALWAYS bring ALL of your gear, otherwise whatever you don't bring will be what you need that day." _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

How does this explain that rigging a small sail kills the wind?
Or conversly, my 9.5 going on a mast creates 20+? |

You know, the wind typically remians steady or even builds as I hit the
water. but I've heard a number of people say the wind will come back
right after they derig. Encouraging those people to derig can't hurt ;*)
