I'm a van guy, but always wanted better economy and could use less space (at times)

THe Nissan NV200 might get close?

Anyone seen one?....Not the big Nissan, that's a beast.

After just a very quick look, the Nissan doesn't seem to have much benefit over my Honda Element which can store 3 boards and several rigs inside, has easily removable back seats, a larger engine (2.4L), and roughly equivalent gas mileage.

I still miss my 'ole full size van sometimes though. Nothing beats being able to store everything you own inside the vehicle with plenty of room to get changed inside and plenty of horse power to tow more.

i looked at Element ,but never bought as it seemed short.....then boards got shorter, masts got shorter, everything was looking good.

Then SUPs came along....back to old school windsurfing lengths...oh well.

Anyway this NV200 seems like it might be longer....that's be good

Ya can't pick a winner until ya specifies the criteria. One man's goose is another's crow. My Subaru WRX and my Winnebago are both excellent WS vehicles, obviously for very different reasons.

I thought that Fords Transit Van would be ideal if it came in a a longer model,

when they were first imported. ( unsure if they have imported//made a longer model, all models on the Ford site show the same whelbase)

but I asked several owners and they said 24MPG, well my Chrysler does that and more.

The Nissan looks like it may be something, but will have to see what the interior plays out like as for cargo. If it only comes with seats do they fold outta the way ??

I think a Honda make brilliant vehicles, and that includes the Element, I just don't think its a good windsurfing one, maybe for a smaller board and only a few of them. The Town & Country holds 6 boards INSIDE

I like it (OP), I like the concept, and I like the company, but the mileage isn't that much better than my Ford '98 E150 V6 (I'm getting 20), but they don't make that motor anymore. Evil or Very Mad
So I've been looking.

I've got my eye on the new ford transit connect. They have it in a long wheelbase and it supposedly gets 30mpg. They've got it all styled up over the original delivery truck. I kind of prefer the old utility style.

the Ford Transit Connection , for 2014 looks to be a passenger van with the optional wheelbase short or long

depending on the onside it may not be much use, and its a 4 cyl engine,

ain't gonna get great MPG

and it aint a diesel

Lookie here. The ford Transit connect comes in a cargo model. And I'm not making crap up, it really is listed at 30mpg.
