Too many ads on website make it almost non negotiable on iPhone and app is cumbersome and still haven't figured out how to put in favorites. Super frustrating
[MODERATOR:] On the iWindsurf iPhone app, to Add a station to your Favorites, do a search, and then click on your station, and then you'll get to the Detail page for that station. Click the STAR in the upper-right hand corner. That adds the station to Favorites. (And then the next thing that appears in that same space is the "Alerts" symbol, which then allows you to create a wind alert for that station. You can do that later if you want.) To see your Favorites page, though, press/pull the green Menu icon (with the 3 lines in it), and that will pull out the app's menu. Click "View My Favorites" down in the "Favorites" section, and you should see that station that you just added. Make sure you have the latest version of the iWindsurf iPhone app:

I still use the wap.iwindsurf.com url's for wind reports and forecasts. Am I missing something? The text only stuff loads like lightning . . . |

Whatever works for you fxop. No problem. Just fine if you want to use the old WAP stuff. Since about the year 2003 the use of that iWindsurf product has been steadily declining to just a small number of guys now.
The iWindsurf iPhone and Android smartphone apps include a large number of very useful additional weather stations that the WAP interface never had.
The new apps are quite fast, really popular, consistently getting improved & new features added. Just a great way to check the wind. |

Is iWindsurf going to produce a Windows Phone version of the iWindsurf app? |

Sorry capetonian, not yet. I wish I could say yes, but being a smaller market share (Windows Phone = about 3% of the US smartphone market), our small team (1 guy) has not been able to make this a priority yet. Our mobile apps developer has his hands full improving our iWindsurf iPhone and Android apps. |
