Wasn't Windcraft in the California Delta? If so, you might want to post this on that forum (Southwest USA/Mexico)... |

You might want to ask Derek at Delta Windsurf. Otherwise I might be able to find someone who worked at Windcraft. What's the need? _________________ The Time a Person Spends Windsurfing is not Deducted from their Lifespan...

Yes, I remember Vic well. He was one of the major advertisers in my first book and was instrumental in developing early Sherman Island windsurfing. He and was a wonderful guy. Let me know if you find him.
I have no idea how current this information is but it may be a start.

Yep I was sad to see them go. I started sailing when they were still located on the Rio Vista side of the bridge. Man that was a long time ago! _________________ The Time a Person Spends Windsurfing is not Deducted from their Lifespan...

Drove by there the other day. Usually I don't even look, but that day I remembered it and glanced over when we drove by. It brought back some old memories.

I am glad you all have good memories of Windcraft. I actually worked there in the mid 90"s. I want to start a school and retail shop and was looking for Vic"s advise. |

Windlord.....
I worked at SausalitoSailboards for two stints of 5 years, one stint at Windsports in SanRafael, a couple years at WiseSurfboards selling windsurf gear, and 3 years at my own shop in Oakland Ca. near the Ikea shop.
Good luck, keep your chin up, and dispense your years of knowledge and experience. |
