thanks for link to longer video andy, that was great. so, in 15 years of going to hatteras i've never seen the water that color, you know the "brown bomber" thing. was that like special order or special effects or what gives?

Paul, you have just been missing it:-)).. we get that nice water all the time. especially after a non wind or East wind day..then it just takes a little offshore wind on the southside and bam... water nicer than maui.

Yeah, October through April is when the brown water shows up... All Summer long we have Caribbean-esque blue water! You can see right down to the bottom... You've gotta come back in Summer, our "secret season" Very Happy

Or just after Labor Day weekend in Sept when lodging rates drop, and the weather remains "Hatteras tropical!" Sept is the best time of year for pure ocean water bliss, and was the main reason for originally planning Wave Jam during that month. Excellent water/surf, usually wind, and summer like weather.

Already missing it...

Nice video! The music artists should be given visual credit if you're going to use their songs. They are trying to make a living doing what they love. The first one is Alt-J, Tesselate. I don't know the second one. Buy it if you like it.
