Ok that was the best Friday 13th ever. All good in the hood expect Rich Campbell cut his hand pretty bad at cheap. I helped his wife drive him to the ER. That really took the fun out of it. Rich is a really good guy , I hope he is gong to be ok.

13 Stiches on Friday the 13th! Flesh wound only; all the important parts are fine. The AM session was great and the PM session was better. Until it ended for me. Thanks Jim and others too!

You old timers are pretty funny. Overpowered 4.2?... Really? Has everyone forgotten July when we were all lit up on 3.7s and I was fully powered on an old 3.0 a few times. It was a pleasant surprise, but my Med chopper fairly loose was just fine.for 3+ hrs much of the afternoon. BTW my memory recall great first weeks in Sep the last two years on 3.7/4.2.

Really nice and relaxed 3.7 conditions early, perfect swell, then 4.7 conditions for a downwinder to Wells island and beyond, then back to Cheap. When the crowd finally arrived at Cheap, wind faded to up and down 5.2 conditions around noon. Too much crowd to stick around with the cheapers, so I moved along to a much less crowded venue.

Less crowded? When I got to cheap beach at four thirty there was only five cars. I thought I hated crowds. WMP you got me beat.

There may have been a half-hour lull somewhere in there. But, according to Iwindsurf data, it was a gradual build of wind from 6am until about 9pm. That's what it felt like too, from noon to 5pm when my hands were too sore to keep going.

FRICKIN' AWESOME!!!
