2002 starboard go 170
recommends screw size(s):
"M6x1.0 x 60+75mm lg."
Does that mean 2 screws, one 60mm and one 75mm? And the size designation is M6x1.0? I'm confused. |

Two things are clear. The thread is a size 6 metric, and Starboard's use of a Tuttle finbox will require two screws. To discern the length of the two screws, one only needs to install the fin in place and measure the depth from the deck bearing surfaces to the bottom of each hole in the fin base, less maybe a quarter of a centimeter to prevent the screw from bottoming out. |

Metric size
6 mm diameter
1.0 is the thread pitch (smaller no. = finer threads or more threads/length
60 and 75 mm long. If the board deck is flat, the aft screw needs to be longer because the tuttle box is shorter in the back and taller in the front. |

And you will need a stainless screw that can be found at Home Depot. They have a pretty good selection, and if you get it wrong can go back in and change it. |
