Guys, we're way, way off topic. This is about how annoying kites are. Unless Iso is a kiter, let's take all that hostility and channel it for good; talking smack about sky baggers. |

Hmm, have you read the thread?? It has nothing to do with how annoying kites are, it had everything to do with how ONE kiter was irresponsible and dangerous (depending on who's talking).
This isn't and shouldn't be a "kite bashing party" because they are here to stay, so start getting used to it and make some kiting friends..... |

"David, of your 14 posts, two, at most, related to WSing. The other dozen were personal turds in our punchbowl. Good job, dewd."
Even after a few iWindsurf makeovers to this thread, isobars keeps sprouting up again and again as a nasty weed. |

I second that. Let's not focus on one guy who screwed up and stick them all in the same basket. |

Christ All Friday, I think that's what they used to say? This is becoming like one of those car crashes that you see and vow never to slow down to look at another. |

Thank you, Mike, who referenced me to this thread with a voice-mail on my work phone (in digital record), and ended with a statement that you would be contacting me through your lawyer.
WMP, if you and Mike are in fact interacting about a brief conversation I had with you a few years ago, you are not correctly remembering it. Mike/Isobars has never verbally threatened to assault and kill me. Assault? Hahaha! I did not say any of that to you.
However, as a result of a number of mistakes that I made while windsurfing one day (Mistakes: 1. I do not have specific safety-colored kit, 2. I fell into the water, 3. I held onto my kit while remaining floating in the water, 4. I thought that I made, distant at first, then closer and closer, eye contact with a windsurfer who appeared to me to originally be on a course that would not intersect with my stationary location, and who, it appeared to me, was changing course to set up to spray me), as well as other unrelated events, I try to take extreme care to keep ample space between me and specific people.
WMP, I advised you to do the same. The conversation you are referencing with verbal threats, assault, etc. was not with me so do not ascribe it to me, thank you. I think we then had a nice day sailing. |

Sorry, I distinctly remember you saying that you felt your life was endangered by something that Mike said or did on the beach. My mistake, please forgive me if I misunderstood what you said.

Agreed, that last point is most important, very relative to this subject of kooks on the water.

It was certainly a wonderful day sailing and it was so great to meet you and the other folks from Tri-Cities. I have nothing to say but sorry I didn't understand what you were warning me about... I thought you were telling me to watch out for Mike, that he posed a very real threat to you. I also thought he threatened your life. Glad you cleared that up for me and everyone here.
Now, I just don't understand why Mike claimed that you threatened his life.... can you help explain this? Thank you much. |
