(1) Windsurfing is dead in the USA except a few places along the coast leaving just us old remnants from the sport on interior lakes.

at 49 I am the youngest windsurfer on the beach. actually I am usually the only windsurfer on the beach.

(2) Lake windsurfers also stay up all night studying wind charts & weather map & worrying about the winds when ever a big blow is forecasted.

(3) have to sail in freezing temps since most wind only happens late fall & winter that can drain the life right out of you.

here is a look at my lake http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOyKyl3r9lY
