OES calling their boards "Meth" and "Ice"??? Are they not aware of the devastation speed (as in methedrine) has wrought on numerous communities in the US including Klickitat County (the gorge) and Maui County? It is bad bad shit and OES should not be making light of the seriousness of the speed epidemic in the US. Hawaii in 2011 was rated as having the worst meth problem out of all 50 US states, so this is not a minor problem for Maui or Hawaii.
I have an OES wave board, love it, like the brand but this move is not really endearing me to them any longer. Not when I have to share an island with tweakers ripping off anything not nailed down and endangering everyone with toxic chemicals from cooking up meth. Why would anyone create a product brand around that scene? Is OES clueless? |

I agree with you 100%. In my opinion using names that refer to drugs that have brought devastation and death to so many people and families world wide is tasteless and beyond comprehension. |

Oh, they have a clue. There's also the SMACK and LSD. I'm thinking they were on something and wanted to capitalize on a very popular new trend: the WEED fin. |

Winfreak, you need to get your head out of the gutter. I'm sure the LSD board does not stand for what you think it does. It probably just stands for something like "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" |

But doesn't OES stand for "Obviously Extremely Stoned"? |
