Scott forgot to mention that there's going to be free racing clinics by Phil McGain, and a free Freestyle clinic by Phil Soltysiak. L.A. is also the home to hundreds of attractions: Disneyland, Grauman's Chinese theatre, Knott's Berry Farm, the Getty Museum, Space Shuttle Endeavor. etc. etc., so your family won't get bored. Heck, there's a cool Marine Aquarium right at the race venue!

Come on down & race!!!

Phil Soltysiak's Freestyle clinic is scheduled for 10 AM Friday the 9th. Phil McGain hasn't set a time, yet, but I would guess about the same time, but on Tuesday the 6th.

All this info is right on the website, www.2013windsurfingnationals.com

So much for the workin' man... Someone should also mention to the Phil's that the wind seldom shows up prior to 1:00 pm... this ain't Maui! Bull

I don't think parking will be a problem, as the racing is all on weekdays, although you may have to park further away than you like. They'll expect you to stay off the racecourse, of course, and I'm sure you will, so during certain events it might be a bit tricky to find a clear spot to sail. Hey, it's the Nationals, first time in L.A., just 5 weekdays out of the year, let's pull together on this one!

Fair enough! I'm definitely curious to see how the long distance race goes. Been out as far as the lighthouse with my 95L board and thought it was the best run ever.
