We were planning a trip to the gorge this year just for old times sake...it's been about 15 years since our last one. After reading this thread, I asked myself, "self, why are you going to leave your wide open, friendly SFbay sailing for that clusterfook up north?" You guys can have it. I have a lot of yard work to do out at Pt Isabel. _________________ /w\ |

The sailing here is just fine.
The only clusterfook is here on this forum, among the usual suspects.

Cool, thanks for staying home. One less car in the parking lot and body on the water. Tell your friends what a cluster it is so they stay home too. |

Hmm, no problem at the Hatch today just a lot of people enjoying the swell and 3.7 (more or less) wind. One woman came up to me after and apologized for "cutting me off" on the swell. I had laughed at the time, we both decided to drop in on the same swell at the same time. No biggie lots more to find.
But you are right, why take the chance. After all Pt. Isabel (dog poop park, or are you launching at Marina Bay?) is just like the gorge. Why drive? |

Say what you want about us lawnmowers but we are mentioned in the bible.
Psalm 121:8 says "The Lord will keep you going out and coming in from this time on and forever more" |

Emerson talks about BAFers also: "Consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds". |

Doesn't everyone fundamentally go out and back? of course, not everyone follows the same sort of track in between going out and back, but we do (or at least most of us) end up back where we started, right?
ich bien ein BAFer! |
