So we had another blowout this year, but I haven't seen any results posted.
Anybody know?
It needs to be posted if for no other reason than to make it okay for those blister-handed sailors that made the the entire way.

Results were posted in the Hood River News the first publication after the race I believe. You should be able to view it on their website.

I'd be interested to know the average wind speed. Anybody give me an idea, and/or the date & time?(better)

Considering that it covers some 20 miles of twisting terrain, the average wind speed is just a mathematical number, all but meaningless. As you know, even the average can consistently vary by well over 20 kts between two spots less than a mile apart. They have to rig huge, relatively speaking, or get passed in the lulls by guys who didn't.

The Blowout started at 11:06am on 6/29. It was in the low teens at Stevenson at the start, lulls to nothing in the Narrows, then 20-25+ from Viento down to HR.

Can anybody tell me what is typical gear for doing the blowout? Board volume? Sail size?
