I've only sailed Berkeley in NW wind...what's the story on SW? What if more southerly gets mixed in there? |

WSW is Berkeley's normal wind direction, SW works too. |

SW ocean wind is best for Berkeley.
Local SW can be good if the readings are up around "19-28" at Lordships, so you can sail a 5.7 and 100 liter board from the docks to the freeway before AshbyBeach. It's usually lighter out past the first point behind Seabreeze, but filled in wind means hero jibing near the docks.
Local SW can work when it's NW at the coast also. |
