Like the subject says, what fin is ideal for SUP-ping the Kona One in flat water? |

I was out SUPing my Kona this past Saturday for the first time. The stock fin seemed to work well. It is a little tricky balancing on the Kona. |

I agree, any fin will work. I use the stock fin or an old 25 cm wave fin. I also use the 25 fin when my 10 year old sails the board with her small sail. She's unable to tack the board with the stock one. |

When paddling my Kona One, sometimes I like to put the dagger down just a little bit, so the tip is about 2-3" from the bottom of the board. Helps tracking immensely, especially in cross winds. |

Yes, dagger slightly exposed does increase incremental stability when paddling, but nothing like actual water flow across the bottom. That is the ticket. A smaller fin will decrease drag and make turning easier. While an upright racing fin works pretty well on the Kona, but try for the very smallest slalom fin you can find as you don't need all the lift the windsurfing fins generate. _________________ Support Your Sport.
