Looks like a lot of fun. What were the wind speeds like?

Would also be interesting to know what boards and sail sizes people used for their best results.

the day that most personal best speeds were achieved was all over the place, windwise - see graph below. And gear was likewise, a motley collection of top-of-the-line race gear and rather ancient slalom gear. Particularly in the 40-59 M class, a bunch of antiques were hard on the heels of the snazzy race guys: a 20 year-old Mike's Lab with a crackely Windwing, and a Sputnik with an elderly Retro. Skill does apparently have a lot to do with it!

It was a LOT of fun! Wind was gusty (as it has been for the past week in the SF Bay) but the water is so flat (and warmish ~70)... VERY easy to put the pedal to the metal!!!

Hope the event will attract more people next year since really fun and Eva did a great job welcoming new comers to Isabella.

I'll be back Wink

All of our family (Heppell-Gauthier) had a lot of fun during that marvelous week!

The GPS thing had motivated all of them to go back on the water to beat their own record!!! This has lead my son (Medrick 12 yo) to reach the step of planing!!!! Now he runs at double speed (18 knots!)

Many thanks to Eva, who have been great during all our time there.

Great lake, great people, great wind for the last 3 weeks, what can you ask more?

Martin

Go Medrick!

Speed Week was super fun and sailing at Lake Isabella was a great experiance. Great place for slalom, speeed runs or bump and jump sailing.

Great event, can't wait to do it again!
