Enjoyed my first day on the water. At peak wind I counted over 23 sails otw. Sunday was timing. If you launched at the right moment there was wind. Must have been 30+ cars in the lot and as many on the water. This spot already famous for consistent wind, is again become the hot spot of Bay area windsurfing!!!! AWESOME.

Today, 4/23 Monday, was just as windy as Saturday at stick from 2:30 to 4...dropped off a bit from 4 to 4:30 when I quit. Only a handful of sailors out Rolling Eyes .

Nuke?
Those look like 5.5 to 4.7's to me, at best.
I was expecting something a bit more windy than that when I clicked on this.

I guess we all have different ideas of "nuke".

As in this, my buddy Chris at AL on a nuke'ish day.

Wow, 30 cars on the water, that's really something!

The Stick is so often the only reliable place to sail in the "low" season. Feb to mid April and Sep-Oct I very often give up Crissy/Coyote to go there, where I am almost always guaranteed to sail.

My record number this year is bigger: counted 34 sailors out a month or so ago ... maybe we should stop publicizing it Laughing

the more the merrier. Candlestick has a bit of a bad reputation and many people don't necessarily like sailing in flat water, but it's a fantastic place to sail, and while it can get crowded from time to time (sometimes 50 people on the water last year) it's nice to see such a big crowd at a place that was pretty off the radar for most sailors just several years ago.
