How is that possible as we descend into the pit of despair under our Marxist Commie Nazi muslim government clutching gold coins in our hands?
Will Fox begin inventing their own S&P numbers like they did with the fake polls in the election?
Talk and Drudge already do this as noted by those here who get their facts from that source and have said the high numbers are an illusion along with unemployment figures.
When those numbers made O look bad they were completely unassailable.

I'm surprised you missed my point mrgybe. I was talking about what's happening in 2013. So many folks are bending over backwards to blame the ACA for increased insurance rates in 2013. My situation tells a different story. And, just to clear the air, I've never received a government tax subsidy.

I suppose that this is the kind of result that mrgybe likes in the existing system:

Quote:
A Southern California surgery center charged teacher Lynne Nielsen $87,500 for a routine, 20-minute knee operation that normally costs about $3,000.

Despite the huge markup, the Long Beach Unified School District and its insurer, Blue Shield of California, paid virtually all of the bill from Advanced Surgical Partners in Costa Mesa. Blue Shield mailed the $84,800 check to the high school Spanish teacher last month

I posted a link to a pretty detailed report in Time magazine about how the lack of real competition, and transparency, in medical costs has led to huge profits. Shock, would corporations gouge the public? No comment from the right until they get a pre-packaged set of talking points from the Drudge report types telling them what to say to hate on Obama. Some may even think that it enhances their credibility to repeat this tripe.

I had you figured for a smattering of brains despite your self-avowed socialism, but ... quoting Pueno? PUENO?

Yes, I get disability benefits. They're for military service-connected physical disabilities, as part of and during my contract for twenty years of USAF active duty. I would FAR prefer not having the disabilities than the $615 per month even if that $615 wasn't deducted from the pension I earned ... i.e., if I didn't pay my disability benefit out of my own pocket. In case even that isn't clear, despite its having been explained repeatedly here by myself and others, the only taxpayers who pay for my disability benefit are Me, Myself, and I. You and Pueno and everyone else here knew this, so how can either of you expect any credibility when you play that stupid broken record incessantly?

Are you not ashamed to your very core by being one of the leeches who believe that the men and women whose sacrifices keep you and your family safe do not deserve the pay and/or benefits they earn?

Socialism, OTOH, is all about UNEARNED benefits ... handouts taken from people who earn their own money only to see the government take it from them at gunpoint and give it to people just for converting oxygen to CO2. How can anyone who supports socialized medicine and would deny veterans their legally incurred and obligated benefits claim to be right of center? They're pretty far left of any measure of centrality I've ever seen.

Some dishonest people claim VA medicine is socialistic, but
a) it is earned by incurring disabilities during a full career on active duty.
b) It is awarded only after years of intensive justification and very stringent medical evaluation. It's far tougher to get than Social Security disability.
c) It is broken, just like REAL socialized medicine such as in the UK.
d) It covers only service connected injuries.
e) It is provided by the Constitution, unlike unearned, non-service-connected welfare.

I say I'm "right of center" because, on the average, I am. My values include both Left and Right tenets, more of the latter than the former, with none of the values usually associated with either extreme. That's "Right of center" IMO.

Mikey, even your faux outrage is funny.

Here's the point, Mr. Fick-shun. You shake your right fist at everyone for accepting stuff from Obama while you yourself accept cash from Obama with your left hand.

And while you're grabbing that cash from Obama, you're dumping a boatload of hate on the man.

Says much more about you than about us or Mr. Obama.

And, you are funny. Can you spell "H Y P O C R I S Y"? Laughing Laughing Laughing

What my Social Security award, my HSA deductions allowed under my UHC health insurance policy, or the interest right-off on my mortgage? These issues have nothing to do with the government subsidies covered in the article you posted for those who will receive financial support to pay for health insurance coverage starting in 2014. Try again mrgybe.

NW...I see you started your day with a dosage of Drudge, good work. The question isn't if we will see more insurance costs, the question is will we(the US) be spending/paying more for healthcare overall. I think not. As Michael Milken says, health and healthcare is the #1 economic issue in this country, and if people have access to health care, they will make better economic choices, be healthier, and more productive. So, the net result could be quite positive. But, I dont want to rain on your negative parade....so carry on.

Thank you, I will.
What, do you go to the Drudge Report every morning?
You a closet conservative? Kidding!!!!!
I know you trust Michael Milken, good for you.

Of course everyone's rates have been going up, ever heard of front loading? Why would the Ins. Co's. be front loading?
Just maybe they know what's coming.

I spend 5 minutes on the Drudge Report every morning..Then when I encounter one of the mindless arguments from the right...like yours.. I already know its coming. Its like stealing a sign from a teammate on second base.
Great example of Drudge's work today is the headline of .4% growth in the 4th quarter. Today is the last trading day of the 1st quarter, a quarter which probably saw the economy grow at 2.7%. BUT, Drudge is informing his minions that the economy grew at .4%. Throw in Dr. Doom's prediction, a picture of some guy in a bank line in Cyprus...and its no wonder that you guys are terminally negative.

At least you look, but why, if you think that everything there is total BS?
Yikes, people like you with blinders on kinda scare me, but at least you peek, maybe it's a deep conscious thing?
He can't have the #1 news website online for nothing, right?

Yet you can windsurf??? And do other (self-described) rigorous life-style feats??? So really, you're the problem you despise! Sucking off the government teat while being fully capable of pulling your own weight. So, if I have this right: personal responsibility for everyone else.....socialism for you.

this is like saying that Adam Lanza was not a psycopathic murdering nut-job, because on the average day in his life, he didn't go out and murder 20 first graders with an assault rifle.
