Thanks, Kevin!
It is mounted in front, on a GoPro receiver. The key thing between camera and receiver is a custom 3d-printed mount (I lost the model file, but the drawing is attached). It is lashed with a velcro tie and fastened with 1/4 stainless screw in tripod mount hole.
If there is enough interest, I can recreate the model and post it in my shop page - I think it comes out under $50 printed. |
Hi Sergey,
I'm considering getting a Hero 3 and some kind of mast mount and I found yours. Any issue with this working with the Hero 3?
Thanks! |

Yippi: I am waiting for GoPro's troubles with the "3" to clear.
Google: GoPro 3 Problems...Something about off loading on to
a computer...or, "Frameware"... |

Hey , cool camera, haven't seen that one.
Can Playsport do simultaneous video out signal (e.g., along the lines of a webcam, but I need a NTSC signal) ? GP2 firmware update allows it to do both record, and vid out.
All the aerial video guys use the gopro, and bigger models fly with CanonD5, but when you crash in rough conditions - camera & rig bites the dust. I'm trying to get an aerial platform working that's good for 25mph+, follow coast waves action(and another commercial use).
Price point on this is workable, can afford to lose a few. Nice video quality. |

Never tried that, but I would guess, no. Try looking at playsport manuals at Kodak site, (if they are still alive?)
MCDORO: I just got me Hero3 White, no problem at all. I understand overheating issue is with more expensive models. I could not justify any benefits of pricier models, and White has much better battery life.
Hero3 white frame grab with the mount:
