Blown of the water at the Stick
Had to start out the season on my smallest stuff .
Got there early around 1, three people out . There were zones
were it must have been hitting 50 in the gusts.
half a dozen of the usual locals hitting it for shorter than usual sessions.
4.7 and a wave board.

Coyote Point beat me up. I think I spent almost all of my time in the water and the mud getting thrown around. I felt like I was riding a bull. Rigged a 4.2, I think a 3 would have been plenty for me.
Water was OK. I sailed in January and it was cold then.
Oh and I stepped in a half eaten sea gull, it looked like a Safeway rotisserie chicken from the previous night, except with white feathers. Note sure if that or the slog through the mud was worse. |

| If you like 3.7 conditions , a solid ebb , spectacular scenery, and zero crowds, then Tomales Bay was a nice place on Friday. |

| I thought you were a wave guy Boggs. Malibu was light wind sailing with head high surf breaking at county line. Today it's already windy... |

Low tide, so Hart's. U/p on 5.7, maybe 3 seconds of barely planing, another guy was doing better on 6.5.
Two sailing, two deciding not to.
Better than not sailing. |

Sailed Natural Bridges yesterday and today (Sat- Sun). Fun both times. Did get becalmed the second time I went out yesterday.
Today was good throughout. 15 second period swell that was good fun. I was planing in the puffs so when the extended puffs matched up with the sets coming in it was great.
Needed big gear to handle the lulls. I was using my 7.0 Ezzy. Managed to not dig the clew into the wave face ever.

| Wonderful Wind-SUP session with my Amundson Cross 11' and a 5.2 and almost no wind. Great fun and when the wind picked up a bit the monster (180L) started planing!!!!! Simply lovely. |

| Went today on the inside at Cabrillo. When I got there, there was no wind so I went for lunch and came back than bam! White caps all over the inside. Had a blast for 4 hours! |

Another Stick day waiting for the wind to fill in more at Coyote or Crisssy. Started with almost no wind Wind-supping with a 5.2, than at around 4:30 the wind really picked up. Great hour with FSW 100L + 5.2 powered to overpowered than the wind started to decrease but about 10 people hung in there for late session. |
