Was visiting FL this past week. On the 13th we went to this state park and while there seem to be wind there were not any windsurfers out. A couple of kiters was all we saw. Is there a better spot around this areas that people go to for wind/waves?

CHECK OUT FRED HOWARD PARK TO THE NORTH (ALWAYS PEOPLE AROUND BUT HAVE TO SAIL OUT A BIT TO GET TO THE SWELLS) AND SAND KEY BEACH (CLEARWATER AREA) TO THE SOUTH OR EVEN FT DESOTO FURTHER SOUTH. JUST DEPENS ON WIND CONDITIONS AS THEY CAN VARY QUITE A BIT FROM ONE LOCATION TO THE OTHER. WAVES CAN REALLY ONLY COME WITH A FRONT. |
