Slay those insane conditions, Josh!
West Ireland Buoy showing some monster conditions:

The WindAlert forecast on the RedBull event page shows "nuclear" over Ire (screen shot below).
Great call by the event organizers. This is the way to kick off the Storm Chase!

I'm following you guys--so cool. You're all superstars for being able to sail this stuff. Much less trying tricks? Over the top. Looking good so far. I hope everyone stays safe and has tons of fun.

i like that 10 serious sailors scattered around the globe, get the shout-out, then they drop whatever they are doing, and head into a far tuck-away of the world in mid-winter, to score postal conditions.....not glassy warm stuff.
You get big dibs just for posting Josh!

craziest day ever... live ticker on the red bull site didn't do it justice. They measured 76 knots and we were averaging sailing in 60-65 kts.
pretty amazing project to be involved with.
At 38 yrs of age and a 3 week son, I stuck to my strengths of riding a few waves and left the crazy jumps for the kids, but felt good with a respectable 8th place amongst of fired up group of sailors. back to Nahant tomorrow
