Can you imagine the reaction of a standstill WSer who hadn't seen the rig on the beach as he blew by them in essentially no wind? |

Same reaction to those unfamiliar with FW when first observing it. _________________ Support Your Sport. Join US Windsurfing!

Unfortunately, you're looking at the future of Formula racing here also.
Just got back from PuertoRico. Saw a guy on a kite go from LasMarias to Condado and back in less than 30 minutes. Much lower downwind angles, much higher upwind angles than Formula. He was using a kite, in winds around 7-17mph. He seemed to be going just higher than 45 degrees into the wind, and of course, much lower downwind.
LasMarias to Condado is around 3.5 miles, I think. |
