Bound to happen once in a while. Don't let it get you down. This year may be the best ever. Our thoughts influence our reality. Think wind.

Off to a good start - wind was around 25 all day in Skaket. It felt a bit chilly while rigging, but was nice & warm on the water. More mid-20s and above-freezing temps in the forecast for Friday and Sunday.

2012 was not particularly fantastic in the mid-west either. I think I got around 25 days, but most of those were 5.3 and smaller, which was nice. Incidentally, my best year was also right around 65 days (I think it was 71 actually). Interesting.

I'm about with you Paul on days of sailing; and I'm blessed for living right around the corner. 15+- days of sailing, 3 days of laydown surfing and the rest of 82, SUP surfing.

Some of the great days –

1 in the spring with PaulF

1 early summer NE’r with Hardy

1 early fall with Boardsufr, and the local kiters

I new contact Chris?, from Harwich, on the day Sandy start to get her fur up

A couple this fall with Bruce while Gerda supervised. Without fail Bruce always gives me some of his fatherly grace; oncel it was the use of a 95l JP. The newest board I’ve ridden in 10 years.

True confessions about sup, the numbers tell it all

Jeff, I hate to say it, but you bought the wrong gear! I mean your dry suit - the tube suit is just great at keeping you and your hands warm. Last session, it was so cold on the beach that I started to doubt my sanity. But on the water, I was perfectly warm. I was able to sail with open palm mitts and have warm hands, even though air and water must have been close to 32.

A baggy dry suit is still a great thing for touring on a SUP in cold weather, though.

Yeah...you guys seem to be doing ok in the New WarmerWorld
I think the pattern of the last two years def sucked up here and blew down there esp late spring/summer. I will make a May/June run next year if same happens
