I've been windsurfing with a hip replacement for several years. It is the metal on metal type with a large head. But now it has to come out and will be replaced with a smaller head metal and plastic implant. The smaller head size means more chance for dislocation.

So is anyone out there windsurfing (or surfing) with the smaller head hip implant?
