Ron, wind meter readings in your area this morning look great, and the predicted drop is so slow that the wind may last all day. Since I don't like the idea of having to stop early, nor want to walk 1/2 mile, we plan to start 2 miles further down at Ellis Landing Beach, and sail towards Skaket from there. The walk at low tide seems to be a lot shorter there. We should be on the water around 10 am; hope to see you there! |

What a bust --no sail on Friday due to wind related damage at work and no Saturday surf due to wind related mushy conditions.
Enough sulking

Going for flat water tomorrow, a bit more than 3 miles NE of your favorite beach. These guys in Lüderitz breaking 50 knots make me want to go fast! |

Thanks guys
"Jerry, me, and rr" for chosing my old haunt today.
As the lightweight of the bunch, I was pretty much lit with my crappy old 5.0.
I'm surprised at the amount of weeds we had to overcome.
Rick, I took your opening comment about my ancient sled as a true compliment. Although I may never get to the level where flipping is second nature like Jerry, it was fun just the same.
My real assessment on the fun factor will be dependent on how fast I can unkink the lower back from using a never-used-before seat harness. Why a seat harness? I was so excited to sail alongside the Prince of Chatham; I pulled the Dakine buckle right off the webbing of my old style Thermoform. I couldn’t figure out for the life of me which way to reattach it.
Thanks again – y’all come back now
