La Ventana - Do I need a wetsuit?

Going to be spending a couple months in La Ventana in Jan/Feb to work on my windsurfing. Will probably be spending a lot of time in the water. Will I need a wetsuit or is it usually warm enough without? If so, what type? Thanks!

2 months, your resistance will be well down, so I'd bring a 3mm fully sealed suit.
You can go with trunks your first 2 weeks.

In Dec. through Feb. almost everyone windsurfing in La Ventana and Los Barriles wears a wet suit. The most common type is a 3/2 with short sleeves but there are some people who wear full suits. A few kiters who stay very close to shore just wear swim suits. The great swell is 1/2 mile out and a wetsuit is a good idea in case you break down. If you are in La Ventana in Oct. or early Nov. the water is much warmer.
