I think Cape Cod tomorrow would be too crazy for us, but we are planning to head to Duxbury Bay tomorrow morning - for once, tides and wind should line up nicely. Details at http://boardsurfr.blogspot.com/2012/11/too-much-wind.html

Discounting Saturday’s aborted attempt with Hardie and other Orleans Citizens, it’s been a little bit of a lull since the Sunday before.
For me, tomorrow is too much, too cold and too ideally centered within the work week.

However, Friday morning is look’n real interesting for CC Bayside venues. With a departure time of 10 (11 sun time) for an hour++ session might make the walk home might long; but what-the-heck. My distant second choice is to waiting for the last hour or so of the day to avoid eating dry sand. Waiting to the end of the day with a NW wind is always sketchy.

Jones'n a lttle bit from being outgunned on the surf action too!

RC

hey Peter,

do you think that it will be sailable through low tide on Thursday AM?
I can't get free Wed, but looking where to go on thursday 10 AM to early afternoon. This would mean sailing around low tide (12:30) if I were to go to Dux.

thanks
Jeff

Jeff, Thursday's low tide is predicted at 1.44 ft. We'll have had a day of strong NE winds by then, so actual water levels may well be higher. I think there should be enough water to sail through low tide, but I'd put a smaller fin in and start carefully.

If the wind turns to NNE or N, make sure you stay far enough away from the bridge, since it disturbs the wind for a surprisingly large area. But stay away from sailing the north side at low tide, there are a number of very shallow areas there. And don't forget to bring swimming goggles for the rain Smile
