Uh, I think its you that's having (or had) the reality meltdown... Do I really need to post your previous "I plonked Tweaky" posts? Or maybe a simple "can you read a color chart" test? |

The difference between plonked and unplonked is three clicks (mine) and a behavioral change (the plonkee's). |

Isobars, you've contributed absolutely nothing to this conversation other than to find yet another venue for your little "plonking/killfile" fairytale speech. I think that "Friends..." representing themselves as a group fighting for the public's best interest while in reality seeking monetary gain for either their board members or their lawyer or both is a serious concern, and needs to be addressed. Your nutty "hee haw plunking ya again Tweeks!" tirades do not; they speak for themselves about what your motives and priorities are when you crack open the keyboard.
Scooter, I'm not as big of a fan of the cablepark as you think. I'll never use it if and when it does go in, and I'm certainly not going to be "butt hurt" if it doesn't. But you guys looking for a monetary settlement is just wrong in my opinion. |

Reading the cable park threads, including this one, before making more false accusations, could improve your credibility. |

Try reading this one and then get back to us about your credibility.

Does Hood River want Disneyland, gambling casinos, whorehouses, poppy fields, 100-story buildings, or an 800,000-member evangelical church just because they work elsewhere? |
No, and I should clarify by success, I mean not only the business itself is successful, but it brings value to the community it serves.
I can understand why a term like "Cable Park" would form a negative image. If ski resorts were called "Cable Resorts" you might liken them to casios as well. But chair lifts are pulled by cables...it's the same kind of thing. Just take a deep breath, open your mind, and go check out a cable park. Spend some time there, maybe even try riding one. If you still don't want one in HR then at least you'll be making an informed decision. |

It would appear that you're not read all my posts, let alone all the threads, on this topic. That's understandable; the topic seems to have more lives than Freddy Kruger. |

Whether Disneyland, gambling casinos, whorehouses, poppy fields, 100-story buildings, or an 800,000-member evangelical church adds value of any kind,to a community is highly debatable. NIMBY, big time, IMO. |

I think "friends" should now be labeled "enemies".

Thank you Mr. Davies. |
Thanks for posting this nicorico. Regardless of whether one supports the cable park, Jon has a good point - the "Friends" should step up and see this through. They had a "victory" in hand for god's sake - it's hard to imagine why they are willing to blow this!
And no , Tweeky, I don't accept that the only reason they are holding this up is that they want money for board members (not possible in a nonprofit) or for their attorneys. |
