Error had it right. The sign delivered! The conditions were all jacked up and there was equipment carnage. First I cracked my open ocean across the top and Error loaned me his 75 ltr (sorry about the ding) Then Rick broke his boom head and his sail panels got blown out. Later someones board broke in two. This mornings was a Sept gift and we jumped all over it.

155L, 6.4. Well-powered at intervals, but the lulls were annoying. Much better than no sailable wind / tide combination for the preceding nine days.

Made one waterstart during an interval with favorable gusts; maybe I'll eventually be willing to put up enough sail and develop better skills to do this more consistently.

Quit at 1715, as it had become inconveniently shallow. Today should be a little better, and Friday and Saturday will have sufficient depth during all typically windy daylight hours.

Natural Bridges came through again today. The wind hit over 20 mph a couple of times. Eighteen or nineteen in the extended puffs most of the time.

One other windsurfer out. Dolphins in the area and a sea otter and terns. Water was beautiful blues and greens.

I have enjoyed this season and hope it does not come to an abrupt halt. Just too much fun!

Berkeley Sat., very good 6.5 and 100 on the 5PM sesh, otherwise just planing.
But Sunday, now dat was fun. Course slalom 6.5 at 3, rising to unmanagable, then a great 6.5 session on 100 with gusts well into the 28's, 5 of 6 jibes inside the third dock fully planing out. I gooned one. Nice 30 jibe session, no falls.

Watched Monday at Berkeley, very good 15-24mph winds.
Tuesday another good Berkeley days, 6.5 and 100 powered up maybe 15-23, really flat water so easy to plane 100%.
Only 5 other sailors out, maybe 2 of them planing. I guess everyone quit or went to PI or Stick.

Thursday another late Berkeley day.
Hit he water at 5 with a 7 and 100 liter board, well powered, close to maxed out, in maybe 18-25 winds as it slowlly rose till I risked falling around 6. Think it was pretty strong for 7 meters by then.
Bill Martin said the marine layer was compressing, and a heat spell was coming for this weekend. Just not today.

Candlestick was fantastic on Thursday... started out looking a little light, but went out on 4.8/99 anyway... was powered in the puffs and the water was as flat as I've seen in awhile. This was all around 3pm. Wind picked up later... could have been on smaller gear. Very nice day.

Egg yolk sunset to the west, full moon rising to the east and ramps to play on all over the river! Awesome sunset sail! It was a good day at Sherman Island yesterday averaging 22-26, 4.7 - 5.2 all day through sunset! It was an awesome late season gold nugget for all who got a piece!

Candlestick was the shizzle yesterday... wind was on the light side initially, but I was still going on 4.8/99l... I think all of Team Dawg and PA Mud Dawgs were there. Wind came up around 4pm, got better around 6pm, and was still going way past sunset.
