Had my first (and second and third) day this weekend. I couldnt believe the size of the swells...I thought " what have I gotten into" the first time across, but was having a great time by sunday. Heres a little clip from Saturday. I tried the Quatro FSW 95L with the 4.0..nope. Back to the logosz spoon

Way to get after it! Friday and Saturday were epic hatch days, with no crowds and great swell. Good to see you pushing your skills!
Hope we get some more days like that - at this point in the season I never take another good day for granted. |

Those Spoons, especially the Trilobite version, were (and still are)
Cadillacs in heavy chop. Glad you're getting the good stuff at the Hatch.

Back when the Spoon and the Bonzer competed head on, even the most diehard Spoon fans, including myself, switched from Spoons to Bonzers after one quick demo on the latter. After literally one reach on a Bonzer I dropped into the water beside Lester Polyester and said, "It's mine". I sold my Spoon on the beach right there within half an hour to a rabid Spoon fan ... who sold it for a Bonzer just weeks later.
Check 'em out some time, Chaco. |

It does handle chop amazingly well. Im not sure which is the trilobite version, but mine probably qualifies. The nose is about as pointy as a barge That would be a good design for it if I ever repaint it... |

I didn't say "OO" or "little glass board". I specifically, deliberately, purposefully, very "informedly" said "Bonzer", as in the proprietary Gorge Animal Bonzer. At your stage and with your go for it attitude they are absolutely in a class by themselves when powered fairly consistently with a 2.8 to 5.2 (7'-6" to 8 foot models, same volume with different nose and tail treatments). My own first-hand, head-to-head testing revelation caused, not followed, my preference for them, and many other aggressive intermediate sailors fully concurred. Find one, power it up, push it way past your present limits, and those limits will just go "POOF" ... beyond your wildest imagination, immediately. Tip: don't try it in January; you will get mighty wet your first gusty day on any board that size.
Didja know Logosz designed the Spoon to sail pointy-end first, then one day decided on a lark to stick the fin and straps on the pointy end and sail it backwards, and The Logosz Spoon was born? No lie, no rumor; straight from Tony's lips to my ears at Micheal Low's (Performance Windsurf Report) house in Hood River. |

In my post above, I started to say "I don't think you'll be going to the event site anymore," but then I didn't want to sound snooty. But now you have seen what it's really all about . . . ! |

It could be ... maybe ... worse; I've heard there are locals who never sail anywhere but Celilo. |
