hi,
I have a powerex sdm mast and have lost the cap out of the bottom section. I haven't found this part online, only the top section cap. Any suggestions for something that will work to keep water out?
thanks!

You can use a disk of foam punched out of a sheet of insulating board. Or find a pool noodle and cut down to proper size with a hot knife.

Dan,
Pool noodles are the duct tape of water sports. I have pool noodle rack pads!

I thought they did not have lower caps. Mine never did, so you can store the top half of the mast inside the lower half. dmark

Pull all of the plugs out of the lower section. Any water that gets in will flow right out. Just make sure the top section is well sealed. Unless you take a really long time to waterstart, you'll be fine this way. I don't think any of my masts have plugs in the bottom sections.
