Check out Solo's facebook page
This weekend in PSC , 30+ people paid tribute to Rodney who was well known to anyone who went to San Carlos.

I stayed with Solo in 2002 and again in 2006. Rodney was there both times and remembered me 4 years later in 2006 when I showed up for my second trip. He was always very welcoming and easy going. I remember him showing all of us how it was done when we were all standing around looking at perfect waves and light wind. Rodney quietly rigged and took out a 5.0. It looked real sketchy. He bobbed out, turned around and caught one of those long waves right in front of the camp with no problem. The rigging frenzy on the carpet after that was comical. Rodney was a fixture at the camp and kept the place running. He will be missed.

Yup, it was a fitting weekend to say goodbye. Consistent head-high +++ surf at the point and 5.2-4.7 conditions, plus 10-15 good sailors out there all catching waves in rotation with just good vibes.

I'm very sorry to hear this. On every trip I've made to SC, Rodney has always been very friendly and helpful. I'll miss seeing him there.
