I´m looking for a big sail on my ezzy 400 (5.6-5.9) i´ve heard that the boxer 5.8 pre 2008 is a good choice and i´m looking into HSM firelight 5.7 but i´m not certain i can pull of the 800$ pricetag on that one, any other suggestions?

Thanks for posting this. I´m however looking for a wave/freestyle sail. I´m basically spinning in circles thinking about sail sizes, luff and bend curves. Now i´m thinking about getting a 5.5 ezzy and just rig it on my 400 with lots of extension until i get a 430 top. -but what i will end up doing i have no clue Shocked

Well If you decide to go the Ezzy route, which a great place to go. I've got 3 waves '10 4.5 , '11 5.2 and '12 5.2 for sale. I know they're all smaller than what you're looking for but if you change your mind about size we can work something out. As far as masts Windance usually has a great assortment of Ezzy tops and bottoms. Used but I've never had a problem with them.

Ezzys are pretty grunty. 5.5 sounds like a good move.

Thanks for your info.

@noshuzbluz, Thanks for letting me know but 5.5 is the smallest i would go.

I have a ezzy wave se 4.5 which i´m quite happy with but have been thinking if a 5.5 ezzy would be to heavy. But the newer sails are lighter so it´s probably not a problem.

Will probably go for a 5.5 Ezzy but the simmer iron 5.7 should also be compatible with my Ezzy 400, has anyone tried one of those?

Ezzys aren't heavy. At least from 2010 and on. Someone will probably say 2008 and on or earlier. Watch your spacing on your sails. You might end up with an extra sail you really don't need. I use to go .5 meter spacing but after getting use to the tuning thing, I've gone to 4.5, 5.2. 6.0 for my main sails. I have gone with 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 in the past.

Thanks for the spacing advice. I have a 4.5 and a 5.0 that I use the most so i´d prefer to go to 5.7 if possible or even 5.8 in stead of the 5.5 but I´m a bit sceptical about rigging a 5.8 Ezzy on my mast although some say it´s perfectly fine. I´m a bit tempted by the simmer at the moment but should probably just get the 430 top and a 5.8 Ezzy. Money money money.. Confused
