My friends and I are planning a windsurfing vacation the last week of March. How do the above towns compare? Frisco house rentals seem a bit cheaper. Thanks for any info. _________________ Ken Hoff

No need to limit yourself, just sail in Avon or Frisco depending on the wind direction. Most of the windsurfing shops are in Avon, along with the biggest grocery store, so many windsurfers stay there. Then just drive down to Isabel's to sail the ocean when the wind is right, Avon Ocean for side-off when it is blowing SW, and Avon sound for blasting around and sailing to the reef with S, SW, or NE winds.
Soundfront houses are pricey, but that does make for easy rigging and sailing soundside. If you prefer to be more mobile, there are hundreds of Ocean side rentals available in late March for reasonable prices. |
