I kinda know Ian.
We did the Sherman photo shoot together, he lived at 19th Ave in the City for several years, we sailed lots of surf spots together.
I can't post pictures, but think of a 15" tall fin with a 3.5" base.
I also have a Meritex swept blade at 14" length, but with a 3.25 base.
Those two fins are considered "high aspect ratio" fins. They don't make them like that anymore because they typically have very narrow wind ranges, and work best when perfectly slightly overpowered. |

Oh, forgot to give credit to another old friend, BrianGiodominico, who designed high aspect blades for TrueAmes, his 13.5" having a chord of almost exactly 3'. |

Those are radical fins. I was trying to let anyone who was interested in improving their recreational sailing by adding a fin know what to look for. |

The blade weeds(fox)? I have a 14.5 from them and thought they were huge! |

That TABrianG fin, all 13.5" of it, is best with 6.0's well powered. Chord is 3", think of that. Not at all like a weed fin. |
