I'm waiting for a purveyor of pulmonary poisons (ppp) to explain how the fire at Chevron's Richmond refinery yesterday was really the fault of the downwind citizens who had the audacity to sue Chevron--and win--because of their concerns over air emissions. |

Chevron didn't build that refinery. Someone else built it. |

ppp-glad you cleared that up, it explains everything. Can't you make this Obama's fault too? Or blame it on free phone programs? |

Actually, their successful lawsuit was because of careful planning and forethought on the part of the Bush administration, even though Obama did it all with his bare hands. It is, without doubt, a socialist Islamic refinery without benefit of birth certificate.
No telling what President Cheney's role was...

Nuclear waste issues freeze permits for U.S. power plants
One more plank in the Obama "all of the above" approach to energy independence. Don't worry though, the freeze on permits will be lifted, and the Keystone project will be approved, once the election is over and the environmentalists have dutifully trotted along to the polling booth to support our President. http://money.cnn.com/2012/08/09/news/economy/nuclear-plants-waste/index.htm?iid=HP_LN&hpt=hp_t3
For once, Wikipedia nails it..........Gullibility is a failure of social intelligence in which a person is easily tricked or manipulated into an ill-advised course of action. It is closely related to credulity, which is the tendency to believe unlikely propositions that are unsupported by evidence. |

When faced with inconvenient facts, retreat to reliable Republican talking points. Ignore all inconvenient facts. This is a recording. |

A perfect description of conservative voters in the 2000 and 2004 elections. |

mrgybe, how does President Obama factor into a freeze on permits for new nuclear facilities? From what I read in the article, a federal court ruled on the matter.
Regarding the Keystone XL pipeline project, all you need is a little patience. Before you know it, you'll get what you want. I have to say though, I still waiting to hear why you're so dedicated and interested in building the pipeline as soon as possible. |
