I noticed they removed the political section from the IKITESURF forum.
I guess those guys would rather rip it up than bark at each other like a bunch of fools!!! |

Or they know no more about politics than the doofuses we see on Leno's Jaywalk segment.
Or they see what politics revealed about and did to the people in this forum and are smart enough to avoid that.
Or they can sail in such light winds that they have no time to think about, let alone debate, politics.
Oar thay dont right guud enuff.
Or they wouldn't know the difference between a teabag and the TEA Party. |

Hey mat-ty, have you started wearing your boardshorts over your wetsuit yet? You know, to be cool with those folks you have to jettison the windsurfer baggage.
I have to ask, are they all Republicans that feel just like you? |

I have done the board short thing, what can I say ( when in Rome). No politics with my new friends, If I did I would have less people to help me land and launch. I am having a blast learning to kite , but will absolutely continue to windsurf, I am convinced kiting is better in light wind , and windsurfing is just as thrilling in high wind, and a hell of a lot safer. |

Best thing about kiting and windsurfing is they use different muscles. So I can get as much TOW as Iso (RIP). |

I have to say that I'm very envious of kiters sometimes. They just rip it in light wind and small waves.
Good for you that you still see the advantages in windsurfing. |

I'm not down on kiting, but it's not something that I really want to do. I hate all the lines and the disconnected part of things. The sport can have its ugly downside too.
However, I can regret my decision when they are styling, and I'm on the beach. I can see why kiting offers the best outcome for some folks, particularly in Southern California. |

I said for years I would never kite, but after watching kiters year after year ripping it up in light winds I could not hold out any longer. If you stick to lighter winds (under 25mph) and ride in safe soft environments you are perfectly safe, and there is less gear and its more fun in light wind.
Check out this Blog by a local kiter/windrsurfer, he recently laid out the difference between the two sports , I believe he was spot on with his opinion
