I have abused my F2 board and left it outside and uncovered for too long.
It has a textured top side and I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or experience getting it looking pretty, or at least decent, again.
I have tried stage one using dishwashing soap and it cleaned up some but there is still alot of dirt in that textured stuff.

| Medium nylon brush, soak the board in comet cleanser or ajax for 15 minutes. |

I renew filthy boards very effectively with this tripe whammy, a pair of sawhorses, and a hose with a jet nozzle.
Round 1: Nylon brush + a non-petroleum cleaner solution.
Round 2: Rubbing compound and a Skotchbrite pad (can leave residue in textured areas if not hosed off while still wet).
Round 3: Bleach solution on any remaining spots.

| I don't like to use any abrasive cleaners if I don't have to. This includes Comet, Ajax, and Scotch Brite pads. They eventually smooth the anti-skid and tend to dull shiny surfaces very quickly. My choice is Mean Green detergent undiluted with a soft-bristled tire brush. |

A car wash with a high power jet nozzle works wonders.

Nothing I've found cleans smooth white rails of those numerous unexplained gray marks like rubbing compound. A few strokes and they disappear. On non-skid I rely more on detergent and some brushing. My master gardener consultant says it helps plants, at least in the 1 or 2 ounce quantity I use, and the grass never notices literally a few drops of diluted bleach applied directly to stubborn spots. Besides, all this stuff gets applied to any given board only twice: when I buy a dirty used board and when I sell a board. Between those events I don't clean them, as our primary problem is plutonium, not crude oil blobs. It just makes our gear easier to find when derigging after dark.
