Regarding dog law, our neighbors did. Their dogs got shot, both shooters threatened to do it again, one shooter ran around the neighborhood threatening people with his rifle, and the sheriff refused to act in either case. The next neighbor whose dog got shot thought very seriously about using his deer rifle to stop the problem when the sheriff would not act. I had to cite to the sheriff the long list of misdemeanors and felonies the shooters committed to get any action out of the law before some person got shot. We can only hope that people here whose gear or kids are damaged by dogs realize they have legal recourse when common decency and respect fail to solve the problem.

"Danny" had his nose all but ripped off his face at the Hatchery a couple of days ago. A "sweet family pet that loves people" changed its mind and tore into his face. HR surgeons determined the damage was beyond local capability and had him transferred to Portland for facial reconstruction.

The law clearly states and it is posted at the Hatch that the dog owner must be with the dog , that dog on no longer than an 8 foot leash. It's poop must be picked up. The owner of the dog who did harm faces a 7 figure legal liability; other dog owners should take note: 8 foot leashes, stay with the dog(not off sailing) pick up the poop.

Hey Isobars, you are getting to be a bore. Who voted you as "Authority of the World" anyway?

Bob get a grip and a reality check your dog and you are two of the worst offender. Do you even own a leash.
Danny hope you are going to be OK, and get a settlement big enough to retire on.
