Should they be allowed? They only swim up stream, know nothing of right of way laws. In fact, they couldn't t read them even if they wanted to educate themselves. Fact is, all they want to do is spawn. How do we feel about our favorite recreational location being nothing more than a way point on their way to a den of iniquity? And, Maui has no salmon at Hookipa.

Kinda concerned. I'm going to talk to my friends at CGWA and CGKA about this.

If they were smart they'd stay far away from that Hatchery. Do they still bash their heads in there??

Don't get me wrong. I think salmon are cool, and I have a lot of friends that are salmon, but I don't believe they belong at the Hatchery, especially on really big days. It's already crowded enough with Wsurfers and kiters.
It's not a matter of if, but when.
Somebody's gonna get a fin.

What's with Salmon jumping out of the water right in front of windsurfers, they don't even bother to look! This all smells a bit fishy.

We could contact the Department of Fish and wildlife to institute new rules. Salmon only allowed < 12 knots wind. Kiters only allowed 12-19 knots. Windsurfers only 20 and above. Yea, that could work!

Not only that, salmon are nakid..... honestly, isn't there a law against swimming nakid in the Columbia? Doesn't this sinful act of lust of the flesh corrupt the minds of our younger generation and the generations in the future? Something really needs to be done about this!

Salmon not heading right of way will be dinner.
Come to think of it that may work for kite.... never mind.

Not only that, there seems to be no consensus when moving in schools... when approaching a windsurfer, it seems like most salmon schools have the fish in the front jump first, FFF (front fish first)... but then every now and then a school will insist on having the rear fish jump first (back fish first), or BFF... I guess they just have to be different... don't the fish understand that there is only one way of doing things? They need to do their research on proper jumping order... take a lesson from the pro-fish out on the east coast, that should remove all trout...
