I know its a long shot... but I was trying to see if anyone in the pdx area might be looking to move from a longboard to a big shortboard. I have a 2003 Hifly Freeride of 139L that is a great first shortboard, ive just outgrown it and in most waterstartable conditions im on my 95L. I would like to have a SUP/longboard for drifting conditions and getting into wave riding. Looking for a SUP type with mast attachment/track mainly, with or without footstraps or even a big beginner style board. Anyone?

Its this guy:

Not trying to rain on your parade, and I DO hope you get the deal.
That is not much of a deal for the other guy. SUP's with usable tracks are worth much more than any large volume shortboard, as they are more versatile and the current TRENDY outdoor sporting EQ.
New SUP/windsurf boards seem to retail in the 1500's, while your board is probably worth closer to 400.
But hope you get something, or use the HiFly in the waves.

Hi mchaco: I may have such a board here in HR, priced for clearance and minimally used, in great shape.

Yeah, I figured it is a long shot. But maybe someone has an older beat up one or a broken and repaired one laying around Laughing

Hope LaGorge has one.
Didn't know SUP's were around any more than 4 years ago, so not too many "old" ones around.

You should at least be able to score a sweet Race Oar Board (ROB) for that HiFly. I'd way rather have a ROB anyways.

I didnt realize they were so new, seems like such an obvious thing. Longboards have been around forever, maybe even a long board surfboard would work , I could put a mast track in it Laughing

Customer yesterday came in for a fin and a paddle to make her 9'6" cascade a SUP." I tested it in the pool , she said, I looking for that combo slackline SUP experience and plan to get wet." I told her she was on the right course for what she wanted. First Yoga no SUP SLack line.

I tried to sell all my old 80's windsurfing boards before moving from Phoenix to Portland as windsurfing boards for months with no takers. I relisted them as "SUP's" and they were gone in days Laughing It still makes me sad though to think of someone paddling around on an all carbon Equipe II Confused
