A little taste of the swell riding goodness out east on Tuesday:

(be sure to choose highest HD setting for best sense of waves--although fish-eye still does not do them justice!)

It's pretty cool and looks like a great session. The only thing is, I find myself wanting to see the swell but mostly I see your rig and board because of the camera angle. That's cool too, but I really want a better look at the swell. I know from experience that getting the camera angle right is sometimes tricky. I have some great video of my hands while mountain biking. I also accidentally set my camera to take still photos while riding Mt. St. Helens once. That was a bummer.
Anyway, this was still a fun video.

Good luck with getting swell on a fisheye lens. When Econoline-sized swell looks like skateboards, full-nuke winds look like 14-meter kite zephyrs, and 120-degree OTL's look like slight direction adjustments, what's the point? I gave up, and my GoPro now sits in a box somewhere.

Here's some sample footage from my board at Arlington 6.18.12.
It still doesn't capture the massiveness of the swells that day but there's some perspective from this angle.

The 18th was probably the best day this year out there. There may have been bigger swell for parts of one or two other days, but when you combine that day's super-clean swell with using one sail from 9:30 AM 'til 8 PM (a 4.2) plus a pre-rigged 4.7 for an hour on each side of that, it was unbeatable. That was the longest time I've spent in a harness in years, and well worth it. We've had VERY few days like that this year, thanks to the lack of thermal support to the fronts. Both of you nailed good ones; some of the very windy days this year have been extremely gusty.

When I clicked on the URL, my AntiVirus software blocked access saying it is an identified security risk! For some reason you have been black-listed by Trend Micro. You can try it yourself by using their on-line URL checker at http://global.sitesafety.trendmicro.com/
You might want to look into this.

Thanks for the tip.
I checked on the Trend Micro tester and got the same results.
FWIW, my website, 30knotwind.com, moved from gorgewindsurfing.blogspot.com a couple weeks ago; Google, the owner of blogspot.com, redirects all the traffic from the old links, gorgewindsurfing.blogspot.com/******, to 30knotwind.com. This may be enough for Trend Micro to flag it, simply because of the redirection.
To test the theory, I put in a link from the old website, gorgewindsurfing.blogspot.com/**** and did not get a warning--the code is exactly the same, in fact the files are exactly the same, it is only the redirection that is different.
Sorry for the long winded explanation, but this explains the warning.
I'll work on minimizing it, but a lot of people still have the old links bookmarked in their browsers and I want them to be able to get to the pages.
Thanks!
Chris

Some nice footage! How did you mount the go pro to the board? I did sail that day , launching from roosevelt. Was the best day of my 2 week trip.
Making a video now of the trip, due out soon.
