The Tides has a nice website...
A cam would draw more people to their website
Like these guys:
http://www.thebeachcomber.com/

It sets them up as the "Go to " spot

Just sayin

I've already tried on multiple occasions last fall.

Owner's response -

"if I give you a cam, everyone's gonna want one"

???

What are you guys doing for fun up there....? I'm grinding glass, and biking....the doldrums

And you never responded to my post....was that you on the Prindle?

I'm going to hold off on calling Tides for now.

Because the manager wasn't receptive with me I think we need to approach this from another angle somehow. Also, I'm sure its incredibly busy for the owner right now.

If we can figure out how the webcam will translate into more business/money for him that would be ideal.

Thanks Blockidog for your work to date.

This may not be a permanent solution, but if all you need for the webcam is a perch and an internet connection, I can offer that from the place I'm renting near the Tides, which has a good 3rd floor view of the surf break. Though I'll be leaving at the end of this month, my roommate will be there at least another year, and she is a marine biologist like me who shouldn't mind helping contribute to the stoke of other ocean lovers. Blockidog, give me a buzz and maybe we can set something up.
