Well I sailed Berkeley today. Either my very first day or my second there. If second, the first was long, long ago, barely in memory.
I can attest that the wind was NOT 22! The average on the chart shows 25 and it was all of that and then some.

Great unexpected day at the Stick. Started very weak but than picked up with a vengeance around 3:30 with powered 4.7-5.3 conditions. Was on slalom + 6.6 all the time with great runs to Sierra Point, sometimes a bit too overpowered on the ways back ... next time I'll venture out to the channel (with my VHF) |

Yeah, Sat Berkeley was perfect 6.0 slalom blasting conditions, flat water and clean 17-25mph winds.
Worked OK for 4.5 and bump boards, too. Basically, whatever you want to sail. |

Launched from Coyote @ 2:30 when the wind read was 13. Must have been my lucky day as it quickly increased a couple of knots allowing me to have a pleasurable, fully planing hour session - 5.6 Hucker/110 ltr RRD Firemove. So glad to have recently lost 15 lbs., really makes a difference . While overcast, the water at Coyote was as smooth as silk |

Waddell on Saturday, first session for me after AWT. No waves, maybe 1-2 feet windswell mostly mush. Still got a couple of turns in , not bad day, clear skies.
I saw a few people arrive later in the day as I was leaving and there was one sailor before me. So on average 1 windsurfer on at Waddell most of the day.
Lots of kiters. |

| Marina Bay was very nice today from 1 to 3. Looks like the late afternoon shift got theirs too. |

| Twas very nice from 4-6 Sunday also. We got the late session, planing 100% with a 6.5 and 102 freeride board. Some big guys with tiny boards and sails just slogged. Sunny too! |
