Great day at Lahontan yesterday. Barely a breeze when we showed up at 1:45, then we watched the windline work across the lake. We started on 5 meter sails, but ended up powered to op'd on 4.0s, sailing till 7 PM. Wind was really steady, not our typical Washoe fare.

Berk Sunday top end of a 5.5 and 75 liter board.
Monday tamer 5.2 around 20 average, looks like the peak wind is gone now followed by barely wind. |

Eddy moved onshore and probably has ended one of the best stretches of wind for Northern Nevada that anyone could remember. 4 out of 5 days of solid 4.0 sailing. Okay Sunday was a typical freakshow of gusty garbagio, but Thur/Fri/Sat/Mon all cranked. Happy Trails to you...

Berkeley Tuesday 5PM sesh, 6.5 and 102, planing fast but not out of jibes, maybe a true 15-20mph wind, for one hour and it died.

Ocean Beach today, small and warm for a change. Powered 5.4, two other regulars and lots of kites.

BTW, as of 6:00am Wednesday Ocean Beach looks like Alameda, no surf. Northwest wind outside. Anyone who has wanted to try sailing here should consider a drive by this afternoon.

Rod & Gun was a bonus yesterday. I was about to start dinner at 5:15 when it came up. Ended up eating late. 5.0 / 100 Liters. Nice to sail in the setting sun.

Wed Berk at 2:30, 5.5 and 102 a little underpowered by planing the whole time, loosened down and out, got better, but so did the wind.
