Anyone want to comment on Wednesday's outer Cape wind-surfing?
Helicoptering conditions with a stiff west breeze during gentlemen's hour.
What's helicoptering conditions? My term for having paddle flutter and hovering in spite of a steep runway

I'm not looking for a pat on the back here - but just think about it
After a prolonged easterly influence, the outer Cape was blessed with a decent day on Wednesday.
The outer cape had also received a huge amount of ocean trash. Yesterday, in less than 20 minutes, a full black hefty bag was filled. The spectrum of stuff ranged from the unavoidable - fishing industry broken nets and line (I like to eat fish) to the unfortunate, those pesky wastewater treatment plant disks from what is it now - a year and a half, to the stupid 2 water bottles and a unopened can of Bud lite, 1 tampon dispenser and the unforgivable, a half torn bag of domesticated mammal fecal matter - originating species, undetermined!!
My take is if you’re healthy enough to surf - any kind, you’re healthy enough to pick up a little trash.

Had a great 3 days on OBX last weekend. Andy McKinney made a new friend- http://vimeo.com/44330440 . Graham got the afternoon off yesterday and got a solid 6 hours of 4.8 sailing at the Canadian Hole. Had to spring for a proper roof rack today since the Purple One has the Burban for the summer. Looking forward to some Cape sailing soon, but at least someone is getting stoke on the Eastern seaboard |
